The RIVON ELVIRA offers up to 320 km of range on a full charge under CLTC/NEDC test conditions. This is more than sufficient for daily commuting in Sri Lanka, where the average daily driving distance is well under 100 km. For longer intercity journeys, DC fast charging top-ups are available.

The RIVON ELVIRA accelerates from 0–100 km/h in under 6 seconds — comparable to many performance sedans. This is powered by a liquid-cooled rear-axle direct drive motor, delivering smooth, responsive acceleration ideal for both city driving and highway overtaking.

Absolutely. The RIVON ELVIRA features a front and rear dual McPherson independent suspension system, specifically calibrated for Sri Lankan road surfaces — from Colombo's busy streets and speed bumps to the winding hill country roads. The vehicle also features HAC (Hill Assist Control) for ramp starts on steep inclines.

The ELVIRA features a 360° safety system including a cage-style fortress body built from 22MnB5 high-grade steel (1,500 MPa yield strength), ABS with EBD, multiple airbags, HAC ramp assist, an Event Data Recorder (EDR), and a pedestrian alert system. The body is processed at over 1,000°C under 1,000 tonnes of pressure for maximum protection.

How to Charge and Maintain Your RIVON EV

Charging an electric vehicle is simpler than you think — especially with RIVON Lanka's full onboarding support and our DC fast-charge capability for longer journeys.

The RIVON ELVIRA supports standard AC home charging via a Type 2 charging socket. Using a standard domestic connection, you can fully charge the vehicle overnight. Our team provides full guidance on home charging setup during vehicle handover, ensuring you're ready to charge from day one.

With DC fast charging, the ELVIRA charges from 30% to 80% in just 36 minutes. Standard AC home charging is also supported, providing a full 100% charge in approximately 8 hours, making it ideal for convenient overnight charging at Sri Lankan households.

Electricity costs in Sri Lanka are significantly lower per kilometre than petrol — most RIVON owners report savings of 60–70% on fuel costs compared to a comparable petrol sedan. Add in lower servicing costs (no engine oil, fewer moving parts and the total cost of ownership is substantially lower than a traditional vehicle.

Electric vehicles require significantly less maintenance than petrol cars — there's no engine oil, no timing belt, and fewer mechanical components overall. Regular checks include tyre pressure, brake fluid, and cabin air filter. RIVON Lanka provides a scheduled service programme and our technicians are trained specifically on RIVON vehicles.
